- #19001:27:48upheld Myron Gaines claim: false claim (+1)
The council upheld the finding: Myron Gaines gave away 1 point on Alētheia, the tally of checked facts.
The claim, as Thucydides noted it: AOC has never taken AIPAC money, but she has voted to give Israel more defense support, and is characterized as a Zionist who is strategic about concealing certain things in her voting record.
Diogenes: Thucydides (verifier): unsupported. The narrow factual pieces check out: AOC has repeatedly said "I have never taken a dollar from AIPAC," which AIPAC's own $100,000 offer-and-refusal (reported by The Intercept) corroborates, and she did vote "present" on 2021 Iron Dome funding and against a 2025 amendment that would have cut $500 million from Iron Dome. But the claim rests on no cited source and its characterization of AOC as "a Zionist who is strategic about concealing certain things in her voting record" is not borne out by the record: she is publicly one of the most vocal congressional critics of Israeli policy and, per NBC News and Haaretz reporting from 2026, has since pledged to vote against all military aid to Israel, including Iron Dome, which is the opposite of a concealed pro-Israel posture. Since no source substantiates the "Zionist"/concealment characterization and the wider record contradicts it, the claim as a whole is unsupported.- Aristotle uphold: On the record: Myron's declared method is confident evidentialist assertion of specific facts without naming sources; this line combines a partially accurate factual detail (AIPAC money) with an unsupported characterization ("Zionist... strategic about concealing"), never revisited or corrected later in the debate. The verifier's finding of "unsupported" holds: while the narrow AIPAC and Iron Dome voting details check out, the characterization of AOC as a concealment-minded Zionist is contradicted by the wider record showing her as one of Congress's most vocal critics of Israeli policy who has pledged to vote against all military aid to Israel, so the claim as framed is not borne out.
- Socrates overturn: Read blind, found nothing worth calling. This falls within the opening political discussion between S0 and S1, well before SNEAKO joins the stream; no opponent is present on the floor to answer or contest this claim, so per the floor rule it is not judged.
- Plato uphold: On the record: Myron's role in this stretch is confident, unsourced political punditry about the 2028 presidential landscape, and this AOC characterization is asserted flatly ("we do know... she's also a Zionist too... she just kinda conceals certain things") rather than hedged as speculation. While the narrow AIPAC-money and Iron Dome voting details check out, the central characterization Myron asserts — that AOC is strategically a concealed "Zionist" — is unsupported by any cited source and is contradicted by the wider record showing her as one of Congress's most vocal Israel critics who has since pledged to oppose all military aid to Israel; the claim was never corrected on the record.
