- #22501:52:52upheld S16 claim: false claim (+1)
The council upheld the finding, but nothing on this stream goes on anyone’s record.
The claim, as Thucydides noted it: Orthodox priest Father John Behr, who has spoken about Origen, is a speaker at Michael Koulianos' Jesus 26 conference.
Diogenes: Thucydides (verifier): unsupported; the source does not bear what is drawn from it. The official page names no speakers. It says "The speaking schedule is not released prior to our events for security reasons and possible changes," and John Behr is not mentioned. The event is listed for Orlando, Dec 3-5, 2026, not France as S16 said. I found no source placing Behr there, so the ecumenical-alliance inference has nothing to stand on. S16 himself admitted he barely knew who Behr was.- Aristotle uphold: On the record: S16 joined late as a caller, declared no thesis, and only passed on news about an ecumenist conference; the called line is a flat factual claim, not a departure from any held position. The verifier found the official page names no speakers and does not mention Behr, and it places the event in Orlando, not France. The claim is unsupported by its source, and S16 stated it as fact while admitting he barely knew who Behr was.
- Socrates overturn: Read blind, found nothing worth calling. S16 is passing on a factual report about a conference lineup to Jay, who is not disputing it and responds with his own commentary. It is a hedged aside ("I don't really know who he is"), not a contested argument. Nothing in it is offered as proof of a claim, so no fault or merit is shown.
- Plato uphold: On the record: S16 entered as a late caller with no thesis, offering gossip about ecumenism in Orthodox circles; the Behr-at-Jesus-26 claim is a stated fact he made at 112:52 and has not retracted, and it is not a departure from anything because he held no position. The verifier found the official page names no speakers and does not list Behr, and the event is in Orlando, not France. S16 asserted Behr's attendance as fact, and he later undercut it by admitting he barely knew who Behr was. The claim is unsupported and nobody corrected it, so the finding holds.
The bench voted on this, and its verdict is kept as it was given. It does not vote on the calls of a call-in show now, and nothing there counts on anybody’s record.
