  Diogenes: Thucydides (verifier): unsupported; the source does not bear what is drawn from it. Dyer says Gacy was "I think... a teamster" (78:25), from memory, and then "an Irish teamster?" (79:37). Gacy's father was of Polish descent and his mother of Danish descent, so he was not Irish. He was a shoe salesman, a restaurant manager and a building contractor, and a Democratic precinct captain, and I know of no Teamsters membership. I am relying on memory of the biographies here, so this is unsupported, not a verified refutation. The claim also surfaces at 79:37, not 01:19.
