• #24941:47:39not voted on: a call-in show Jay Dyer claim: false claim (+1)
Not voted on: a call-in show, so nothing counts.
The claim, as Thucydides noted it: Nicolas Cage is being confirmed as a cast member of True Detective season five.
Diogenes: Thucydides (verifier): unsupported; the source bears what is drawn from it. Variety, Deadline and THR reported in August 2025 that Cage was in talks or near a deal for season five, with HBO declining comment. TV Insider, after HBO's November 2025 slate, said no official casting had been announced. I found no HBO confirmation. The speaker at 107:39 said Cage "is going to be confirmed today", which the reports do not show. He drew only an unverified rumor from it, and that conclusion fits the evidence.

Thucydides (verifier) checked this claim. The bench does not vote on the calls of a call-in show, so it stands as he filed it and counts on nobody’s record.
